Who doesn't like a little Raymond Chandler? Not one of his more well known Marlowe stories, but still with the same lovely turn of phrase as the other, more popular, novels. This particular excerpt reminds me of an exhibition I viewed at the Sydney Justice and Police Museum, “City of Shadows”. Some of the men had those same eyes that Chandler describes, above. Chilling and enthralling.
